Massage Therapy for Trauma Recovery

Massage Therapy for  Women in Recovery from Trauma

or Who Are  Coping With Current Dysfunctional Situations.

When you receive a massage it can help you recover from past trauma, or help you cope with a currently challenging situation.

If someone is working with a counselor, or has already worked on these issues in counseling, adding the bodywork piece can be of great benefit . It's hard to put into words. It puts you into a whole other space of peace and calmness which supports recovery.

I have massaged people recovering from a traumatic death in the family,  grieving of loved ones, child and adult sexual abuse, domestic violence, stressful divorces , medical challenges including terminal illness, and other situations.

Because I'm a counselor with lots of experience with trauma I understand and keep clear boundaries when I'm doing massage. The purpose of the massage is relaxation and it complements the work the client is doing in counseling.

Massage Therapy  also helps while going through a present dysfunctional situation.  Sometimes, in life we are in difficult situations that aren't going to resolve soon.  Massage provides that one hour oasis in which you feel totally at peace with yourself and the world. It can give you strength to continue facing what's going on,.

A free initial consultation and/or sample massage of ten minutes, is available to anyone interested in Massage for Trauma Recovery.  I welcome collaboration with counseling therapists.
